Thanks for your interest in our church! We want to welcome you and let you know that we are here to serve you. If you decide to visit, here are a few things that you can expect when you walk through our doors.

We are a Believing Community

josh-applegate-327763-unsplash copyWe desire to be a people who follow the command of our Lord. “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20). Our church exists to make disciples of Jesus. A disciple is one who follows Jesus, grows in Christ-likeness, and makes other disciples. And as grace extends to more people, it will increase thanksgiving to the glory of God (2 Cor. 4:15).

We are a Caring Community

jordan-rowland-716367-unsplash copyEveryone matters to God, and everyone matters to us! Here at Minco, we’re passionate about showing God’s love and telling His story. We didn’t all come from a storybook Christian home. Those who worship here represent differing political views, backgrounds and life experiences. We care for everyone, including people with intellectual and physical disabilities, those suffering in poverty, young people in crisis and others who are neglected or overlooked. Whether you’ve been burned by religion, have made mistakes or haven’t been to a church in years (or ever) we invite you to join us. You matter to us, and we want you to have a life-giving relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ.

Questions & Answers

Below is a list of how we operate in a typical week. If you do not see your question answered here, feel free to call the church office and let us know how we can serve you.

Where are you located?

You'll find us at 502 SW Burt St. Minco, OK 73059, near the main intersection of town. Our visitor parking is located on the south parking lot, in front of the playground.

When should I arrive and where do I go?

Sunday mornings offer small group Sunday School (9:45) and a corporate worship service (10:55).  Where should I enter? When you come in one of our two main entrances off Burt Road, you'll see our Welcome Team - helpful people who can answer your questions and walk with you to your class or to the sanctuary. We recommend arriving at least ten minutes before the start of service.

What should I wear?

We want you to come just as you are. We are here for you, no matter how you're dressed. Wear whatever you like because there is no dress code. Most people wear whatever makes them comfortable. That usually changes from week to week depending on the weather, and some people like to dress up for special holidays. But as long as you are wearing clothes, we are happy.

What do you do during your worship service?

After a warm welcome, we start off with some singing and some praying to express our thanks. If you have been in church before, you may recognize some of the music. The word of God (the Bible) is essential to everything we do at Minco FBC. In our Sunday services, we worship through song, prayer, and the preaching of God's Word. We preach expositionally, meaning that we go through entire books of the Bible verse-by-verse to understand all of what the Bible teaches, and we regularly (once a quarter) take Communion together.

Do I need a Bible?

If you own a Bible, yes, bring it! We begin each sermon by opening our Bibles. We recommend the English Standard Version or the Christian Standard Bible. If you don't own a Bible, we have Bibles available and would love for you to take one of them with you as our gift.

Will there be instruction for young children and youth?

Yes. We love you AND we love your children. Jesus wanted all of the children to come to Him and we feel the same way about your kids. Our hope is that your young ones will sing and pray right along with the rest of us. Before the sermon starts, we offer an opportunity for any child to join in with our Children's Church (3Y - 1st Grade) but all children are welcome to stay in the service.

artisan_arrows_goodbye-PSDOn Sunday mornings, we offer classes in Minco Kids for children from birth through 5th grade, both during Sunday School and during the service. In their classes, kids learn how all of the Bible points to Jesus through singing, teaching, and hands-on crafts to help them remember what they've learned.

splattered_events-PSDMinco Students (6th-12th grade) meet on Sunday mornings for small groups and then transition to the worship service. Sunday nights from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., we meet for topical small group Bible study, discussion and dinner.

Will you ask me to give you any money?

We believe that giving is an act of worship and reflects faith in God's provision, so we do provide a time during the service for them to do so. However, giving should come from love, not legalism. No one is ever pressured to give because the good news is ALWAYS a free gift. We just want you to come and receive what God gives.
